HOW TO CREATE A DREAMY GUEST BEDROOM
Having a comfortable and cozy guest bedroom is a necessity for any home.
Playing host to visiting friends and family is very rewarding, and having a comfortable and cozy guest bedroom for your visitors is key. And in order to be the hostess with the mostess, it’s important to be ready for guests year-round.
We rounded up our best trips and tricks inspired by one of our favorite textile brand, Coyuchi, to create a warm and welcoming room your guests will never want to leave.
1. An Inviting Bed
Nothing says “relax” like an inviting bed topped with luxuriously soft linens. To create a luxe hotel feel, go for the 500 TC Organic Pima Percale Sheets. These sheets are organic and feel as smooth and cool as porcelain. Pair this set with two pillows per person, and mix it up with firm and soft options to accommodate for every type of sleeper.
We also love using a quilt or linen duvet cover for a guest-bedroom so it’s easy on guests to make the bed each day. Be sure to add an extra blanket or throw, like the Tahoe Wool Blanket, at the end of the bed for chilly nights.
2. Bedside Table
Make sure the bedside table is equipped with everything your guest might need – from a bedside lamp, an alarm clock, phone chargers, and even a small jug or water with a glass. You can even create a tray or basket of special treats and toiletries for your guests – like their favorite chocolate, tea, some shampoo, toothpaste and mouthwash won’t go amiss either..
3. Closet Space
A host should give guests a designated space to store all their clothes and belongings. Make sure the guest bedroom closet isn’t filled with household clutter, but rather an open and empty space for your guests to store their bags and clothing. We love hanging a Unisex Organic Waffle Robe in guests closets so they wear it while they unwind after a long day of travel.
4. Aroma Therapy
Sometimes all you need to make a visitor feel at home is a bouquet of fresh flowers and a soothing candle. Opt for neutral and relaxing scents, like lavender or eucalyptus, for both flowers and candles to make your guests instantly feel relaxed.
