With the end of summer looming, it’s time to start planning a late summer get together with great company, good vibes and amazing food to take advantage of the long days and warm evenings while you still can.

Our founder and CEO, Lindsay Meyer, recently threw a summer soiree at Batch that mixed a simple and carefree aesthetic with fun, eye catching colors and designs, to celebrate her partner’s late-June birthday.

We hosted our event on the rear terrace in Batch, and kept the overall outdoor decor minimal so the main focus would be on the elaborate table setting.

The inspiration for our party was “Cool for the Summer”, and every detail used in our table settings matched this theme – from the quirky watermelon cups that doubled as a place card holder, to the lush monstera leaves used to accent the bamboo placemats, and even the metallic gold utensils

No detail was too small for this soireé. We designed our snack and drink station with a floral display to help guests easily spot the the snack and drink section. We also created single serving cups with a description of the snacks, so guests could grab the light bite of their choice and walk around with it while mingling with other guests.

Our favorite part of summer is grilling colorful and delicious seasonal ingredients, and our entire menu revolved around that. Using fresh ingredients and plating them in the right way was a vital part of getting guests excited to sit around the table to eat, drink and celebrate summer.

No party is complete without a fun activity for guests to enjoy. We wanted to bring everyone’s inner child out to play, so we created a Giant Connect Four tournament that engaged guests and was an experience they’ll never forget.

There’s no better time to start planning your last summer hoorah like the present! No matter what your inspiration or theme is, remember to take risks, have fun and create a memorable event your family and friends will enjoy!
