A GLIMPSE INTO THIS DOGPATCH DREAM HOME
If you’ve followed Batch for awhile, you’ll recall that we’re pretty much locals in the Dogpatch neighborhood. From our projects at Knox, 815 Tennessee, and 950 Tennessee, we’ve developed a finely calibrated sense of this creative neighborhood’s style.
When approached to outfit not just one but two residences at 950 Tennessee, there was not a moment of hesitation. With unmatched enthusiasm, we took to the task of turning a light-filled two-bedroom residence with soaring ceilings into a welcoming respite from the world.
The use of a light wood coffee table and woven wood wall decor infuses a strong nod to natural materials. Earthy vibes meet modern touches throughout this home.
A large dining table from HD Buttercup anchors the window area adjacent to the entryway. Opposite a deep and totally lounge-worthy Interior Define sofa, this marble table flanked with Danish-style dining chairs makes it easy to transition from wine and cheese through the main course and back to the sofa for a casual dessert with dinner guests.
Since we placed the dining area just off the kitchen, we chose instead to anchor the area opposite the food prep zone with a high-style workspace hand-crafted in Los Angeles by Terry Holzgreen. An enviably soft swivel chair invites early morning emailing just a few short steps from all the coffee or tea you might need to start your day.
Inside the master bedroom, a king-sized bed centers the space with plenty of room to spare. We dressed up the room with a Midcentury-style dresser and chandelier and programmed a playful mix of materials throughout with round baskets, a rich emerald-tone armchair, and California-cool Parachute Home bed linens.
The guest room offers plenty of space for another sleeping situation. In our case, we set up an accessory workspace anchored by a statement sideboard with a sleek TV and gilded wall decor. A fun mirrored tray adds a pop of glam and houses an all the libations needed for an impromptu mixology moment.
A rear laundry room offers tons of additional storage to hide away your cleaning-day essentials. Bringing in Brondell’s air purifier-humidifier system anchors a healthy home experience consistent with our ideals of elevated everyday living.
